Global Football School, the first micro school in the United States to create an academic and football (soccer) training environment for children in the 4th through 9th grades, is pleased to announce the addition of Jamie McClendon to the school’s staff. McClendon, a South Carolina native, will take charge of the ’03, ’04 and ’05 training group when school begins in later this month.
Mr. McClendon played his collegiate soccer at Lander University, and holds a M.A., Educational Leadership and Administration degree. On the pitch, he has earned the USSF ‘A’ license, and comes to GFS from Birmingham United Soccer Academy where he was the Director of Coaching. “Jamie is the right person for the Global Football School family,” stated Chuck Dennis, Executive Director of Global Football School. Mr. Dennis continued, “He understands our approach to development, has the experience of managing all types of football and academic situations, and is a father himself, so he connects well with our student athletes and parents.”
