Excitement Surrounds Global Football School USA, Inc.

Charleston, SC – Jan 12, 2017

Global Football School USA Inc., a full-time football (soccer) developmental school, now in its second year, announces some strategic improvements to the program.

Chuck Dennis, former Executive Director, left us in October, and a Executive Board of community leaders, has been set in place to manage the operations of the new company                         Global Football School USA, Inc.

The expertise of the board gives GFS USA a stronger base of different perspectives, skill sets, and tenure in a variety of fields all of which aim to help give our students a truly unique experience on and off the pitch.

In November 2016, GFS USA moved back to its original home at Riverside Sports in Mount Pleasant SC. The facility offers GFS USA a unique location in the Charleston metro area with a full classroom and 2 indoor court spaces.

Our Learning Coach, Monica Killen, unfortunately had to step down for personal reasons in December.  Monica has been instrumental in the foundation of the academic program from the very beginning.  GFS USA wishes Monica and her family the best in 2017 and the years to come.

On January 2, 2017 Gina Busolin stepped into the position of Learning Coach and is off to a wonderful start.

Mark Lee, former Owner/ Managing Partner of Riverside Sports, has taken on the Administrative Director position for GFS USA.  Mark brings with him years of business expertise and community involvement.

Kenn Schmidt Nielsen, a UEFA-A licensed coach, remains the head of the football program as Technical Director.  He personally crossed countries and continents from Europe to South America and from Africa to Asia, for nearly three years, mapping and analyzing coaching methods, cultures, footballing philosophies and talent development programs in all corners of the globe.  Students receive a truly singular training experience under his guidance.

GFS USA is now using SC Connections online for their academic program. The improvement in our academic program is aimed at incorporating all grades and subjects, including AP and honors level courses in the upper school.

GFS USA has the ultimate goal of sending students to overseas clubs and football schools in their high school years.  We now have successfully sent 3 students to Denmark and a fourth is preparing to go this fall.  One of whom hopefully will sign his first professional contract in May 2017.

We are now accepting new students/players born in the years of 2003-2007 for the 2017/2018 school year. We currently have 11 students/players ranging in age from 10 to 13 years old.  Please contact Technical Director Kenn Schmidt Nielsen at EMAIL or Administrative Director Mark Lee at EMAIL for setting up tryouts for GFS USA.
